Supervisory disclosure

This section displays and provides access to information that the Central Bank of Iceland publishes in accordance with Article 143(1) of Directive 2013/36/EU (CRD IV), covering the following topics:

  •  Rules and Guidance
    The texts of laws, regulations, administrative rules and general guidance adopted in Iceland in the field of prudential regulation. Annex I
  • Options and national discretions
    The manner of exercise of the options and discretions in CRD IV/CRR. Annex II 
  • Supervisory review
    The general criteria and methodologies that FME uses for the purpose of supervisory review and evaluation process (SREP). Annex III
  • Statistical data
    Aggregate statistical data regarding the supervision of credit institutions and investment firms based on the position as at 31 December 2020. Annex IV

The templates used are developed by the European Banking Authority (EBA) and published in Regulation (EU) no. 650/2014, implementing technical standards regarding supervisory disclosure. One of the purposes of the disclosure is to enable a meaningful comparison of the approaches adopted by competent authorities of different EEA countries. Comparison with other member states can be found on EBA's website.
