A note on the status of the European Risk Insurance Company (ERIC)
Internet news media in the UK has today published news about the status of the European Risk Insurance Company (ERIC), an Icelandic insurance company operating outside Iceland, stating that the company was no longer accepting new business.
The Icelandic Financial Supervisory Authority finds it necessary to emphasize that the decision to stop accepting new business was taken at a meeting of the Board of Directors of ERIC on 4th of February this year and its business partners were duly notified yesterday.
The Financial Supervisory Authority is monitoring the operations and status of ERIC and communicating with the company as provided for by law.
